The Information about Global Warming is less than straight forward as to the nature of what causes it. As I have done my research on Global Warming there has been a wide variety of information on both sides of the issue. What impact can the human race actually have on the temperature of our planet. Well not as much as Global Warming activists would have us think. I for one have not come across definitive evidence to convince me one way or the other. What I have decided is that Global Warming is a good platform to raise the issue about our environment, the air we breath, the toxic chemicals that we contact in our daily lives. There is more than just climate change involved in the issue of Global Warming. Even if our use of oil, gas and other natural resources has no measurable effect on climate I would have to say it can have a direct impact on the health and continued survival of mankind on earth. The increase in the rate of cancer could be attributed to our environment. Lung cancer for example is being diagnosed in more and more people who have few actual risk factors such as smoking or work environment, so what could cause this increase? Maybe air pollution? Preservatives in food over the past 20 years have been shown to have carcinogenic effect on consumers. It seems like every decade or so when enough time has passed to allow studies on cancer causing agents, we find we have been ingesting large amounts of pesticides in fresh food or preservatives and artificial sweeteners to cause substantial health risks. I guess the main point I am tyring to make is that Global Warming is an example of what can happen when our society fails to recognize its contribution to the health of the Earth, after all we would all be willing to admit that we are products of our environment. If you did a lab experiment and exposed small fuzzy cute animals to a toxic chemical in water, air or food you would not be surprised when the animal got sick or died? Our Planet is our experiment and what we expose ourselves to is up to us. Global warming or not, changes that affect us on a daily basis coincide with the changes that global warming activist are pressing our government for. Maybe we just need to re-name Global Warming to a more appropriate universal name like (Toxic Globe Syndrome.)
Just a thought??
